Kane To Be Inducted Into The WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2021

On March 24, 2021, the news broke that professional wrestler and Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee, Glenn Jacobs (aka Kane) will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame within the Class of 2021. Jacobs began his professional wrestling career in Missouri when he debuted in CSWA in 1992. Jacobs would then wrestle for the USWA, Smokey Mountain Wrestling, WCW, and World Wrestling Council. Little did he know that he would become one of the biggest wrestling icons in history.

In 1995, Jacobs began working for the WWF in multiple capacities. His first match with the company took place on February 25, 1995, where he defeated Reno Riggins. He would wrestle under the name Mike Unabomb. Jacobs would then transition to wrestling as Isaac Yankem, DDS. In this role, Jacobs would play the role of Jerry Lawler's personal dentist. Finally, after Kevin Nash and Scott Hall left for WCW in 1996, Jacobs would be placed in the role of "Fake Diesel" (Diesel being Kevin Nash's WWF gimmick.) This would last until April 1997. He would then debut the Kane character in October 1997's Badd Blood pay-per-view.

Kane is a highly decorated champion within WWE. Throughout his 26 year career with the company Kane has held the WWE Championship once, the World Heavyweight Championship once, and the ECW Championship once. Kane is also a one-time WCW Tag Team Champion (under WWE's banner) with The Undertaker, a two-time WWE Tag Team Champion (once with Big Show and once with Daniel Bryan,) and a nine-time WWE World Tag Team Champion (once with Big Show, once with Rob Van Dam, once with The Hurricane, twice with The Undertaker, twice with X-Pac, and twice with Mankind.) Finally, Kane is a one-time WWF Hardcore Champion, one-time WWE 24/7 Champion, two-time WWE Intercontinental Champion, and a Money In The Bank winner. Kane's status as a Grand Slam Champion proves his eligibility as a member of the WWE Hall of Fame.

You can watch Kane's induction to the WWE Hall of Fame on April 6, 2021. The ceremony will be streamed on Peacock.

We here at Blade Job Pro Wrestling congratulate Glenn Jacobs on his WWE Hall of Fame induction.
